More About Me

My name is Edgar Caminero, and I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2001. I see myself first and foremost as a fellow human being who is always learning and growing — and I carry that mindset into every relationship I build with the people I serve. I graduated from Salem State University in 2001, and I was truly grateful to be offered my first job at the same place where I completed my practicum and internship. That early opportunity shaped the way I approach this work: with gratitude, humility, and a deep desire to support others on their path to healing.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in many different settings in both Massachusetts and Florida — including community clinics, schools, in-home outreach, and, with the advancement of technology, through telehealth services. I’ve worked with children, teenagers, adults, couples, families, and individuals from all walks of life, including those involved with the Department of Corrections and Federal Probation. I’ve also supported people struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges.

No matter who I’m working with, I believe in meeting people where they are — emotionally, mentally, and in life — without judgment. I offer counseling that is compassionate, respectful, and tailored to each person’s needs and goals. My job is not to “fix” anyone, but to walk beside them, offering support, perspective, and a safe space to grow.

In addition to therapy, I’ve also had the honor of mentoring students during their internships, helping them gain confidence and experience as they step into this meaningful work. Being a part of someone’s personal and professional growth — whether a client or a student — is something I never take for granted.

At the heart of it all, I’m just someone who cares deeply about people. I approach my work with honesty, sincerity, and a commitment to always keep learning — from every client, every experience, and every shared moment.
