Where Accessibility Meets Excellence: Dr. Tripp & Associates in Tallahassee

This new chapter represents more than growth. It reflects a continued commitment to accessible, affordable, and high quality therapy for individuals and families navigating life’s many transitions.

My work with Dr.Tripp & Associates began in a remote role serving clients in Broward County and the Port St. Lucie area. From that perspective, I witnessed the powerful impact of reducing barriers to care. When therapy is flexible, transparent, and designed around real life, people show up. I worked with clients attending sessions from their cars during lunch breaks, from dorm rooms between classes, and from living rooms late at night after long days of parenting and work. For many, it was the first time therapy felt possible.

That experience shaped my belief that mental health care should not be complicated or out of reach. It should meet people where they are.

Bringing that same model of care to Tallahassee is deeply meaningful. Leon County is home to students, young professionals, parents, and caregivers who are often managing adulting stress, work stress, school stress, and parenting stress all at once. These pressures can quietly build, leaving people feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or unsure where to turn for support.

One of the things that truly sets Dr. Tripp & Associates apart is our commitment to access and flexibility. We accept a variety of insurance plans to help reduce financial barriers for clients who want to use their coverage. For those who prefer or need to self pay, we offer a flat self pay rate of 100 dollars per session. This transparent pricing model allows clients to understand their options clearly and make informed decisions about their care. We work intentionally to ensure that people are not turned away simply because of financial constraints.

"Everyone deserves access to quality care. We exist to meet the need, because healthy people create healthy communities." - Dr. Shardae Tripp

Equally important is how care is delivered. Our Tallahassee therapists are culturally competent and integrative, meaning they approach therapy with an understanding of how culture, identity, faith, family systems, and lived experience shape mental health. Clients are not treated as diagnoses, but as whole people. Therapy is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to each individual’s needs.

As Clinical Director for the Tallahassee and Leon County branch, my vision is to create a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported, and where clinicians are empowered to provide excellent care. Strong leadership and clinician support allow therapists to show up fully, which directly benefits the people we serve.

The Tallahassee branch of Dr. Tripp & Associates is here for life’s harder seasons and transitions. We are here for individuals entering adulthood, professionals navigating career stress and burnout, parents balancing competing responsibilities, and anyone feeling stretched thin or stuck. You do not have to wait until things feel unmanageable to seek support.

This expansion is not just about opening a new location. It is about extending a promise to theTallahassee community. A promise of accessible therapy, multiple payment options, and compassionate care grounded in excellence.
